May is Lupus Awareness Month. The Spring Festival at Ron Brown Middle School in Washington D.C. is being presented by LUA, a local events group that plans and hosts events in Maryland and the District of Columbia. The event will be hosted by and in honor of Ms. Alisa Randall who is currently living with and fighting the constant difficulties Lupus has placed upon her life with admirable strength and positivity. She will speak at the event, as well as other individuals in an effort to encourage and uplift those living with this challenging illness. We will feature entertainment, music, raffles, giveaways, children\’s activitities, and vendors from the community in a collective effort to raise money for the cause. Admission to the event can be paid for in advance at a cost of $5 per person until May 18, 2012 (adults and children over 12). All children under 12 are free! Admission on the day of the event will be $10 per person at the door.
